Company Update
This month's Company Update highlights seven individuals named to new positions — the new FON Terminal Manager, LAX Regional Manager, the new Vice President and General Manager of LinkEx, AUS Terminal Manager, the two new Zone Managers, the new National Account Executive, and our new CIN Terminal Manager.
Caraza Promoted to FON Terminal Manager Position
Carlos Caraza has been named our new FON terminal manager. Carlos joined Saia in 2009 and has worked as a dispatcher and operations and zone manager on behalf of the company. He has 16 years of experience working in the transportation industry and attended Chaffey College.
Ewing Named LAX Regional Manager
Michael Ewing has been named our new LAX regional operations manager. With 18 years of experience in the transportation industry, Michael joined Saia in 2010. He has served as a terminal manager for the company in LVS, LAX and FON. He attended Utah State University.
Miller Selected Vice President and General Manager of LinkEx
David Miller has been named the new vice president and general manager of LinkEx. He will be based at the LinkEx office in Dallas, Texas and have responsibility for the office located at the ACO as well.
David is a veteran of the transportation industry who has more than 28 years of experience. He has held various positions at an executive level. He worked for Saia 18 years ago in regional sales management. Since then, he has worked on the 3PL and transportation management side of the business. David is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
Reeves Named AUS Terminal Manager
David Reeves has been named our new AUS terminal manager. With 22 years of experience in the transportation industry, David has worked at Saia in a variety of roles, including zone and operations manager and dock supervisor, in various facilities including DLS, HST, BMT and LKC.
Russell and Bustos Assume Zone Manager Roles
Kevin Russell has been named our new AMR/LUB zone manager. He joined Saia in 1994 and had been serving as our AQE/FAR zone manager. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the transportation industry. He attended West Texas State University.
With Kevin moving to the AMR/LUB position, Hever Bustos has been named our new AQE/FAR zone manager. Hever has worked at Saia since 2000 and has served as a city and line driver, supervisor, and operations manager. Prior to Saia, he worked for another large carrier and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He has 23 years of experience in the transportation industry and attended the University of Phoenix.
Schikorra Named New National Account Executive
Robert Schikorra has been named a Saia national account executive. In this role, he will handle accounts for the company in Michigan and northern Ohio. With 38 years of experience in the transportation industry, Bob has previously worked in several sales positions for another large carrier. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Alma College in Michigan.
Washburn Moves to CIN Terminal Manager Position
Richard Washburn has been named the new CIN terminal manager. He had been serving as the CIN regional claims prevention manager since joining Saia in 2014. With 18 years of experience in the transportation industry, Rich has held various positions including operations manager and zone manager.
