Reynolds Retires from OKC Terminal

Kathy Reynolds retired earlier this year. She had worked at Saia’s OKC terminal for 25 years. Congratulations Kathy! We hope you’re enjoying retirement. It is much deserved!

Hatcher Says Goodbye After Nearly Three Decades

According to HST Terminal Manager David Hanlon, Carolyn Hatcher always had a great attitude and a warm smile. She served in a variety of positions for 28 years at the terminal. “She will be missed here,” said David. “She really cared about our people, our customers and the company. She made work fun and enjoyable.” Congratulations Carolyn! Best wishes for a long, happy retirement.

Company Receives Grayslake Economic Development Award

Saia LTL Freight has been presented with the 2017 Grayslake Economic Development Award for its contributions to the community. Saia opened a state-of-the-art cross-dock facility near the village in 2016.

According to the Grayslake Economic Development Committee, Saia has been a great asset to the community and has helped spur further economic development in the area. The terminal has also been recognized with the 2017 Chicago Builders Congress Award of Merit, Industrial Construction, for the building’s design and the site’s development. Since 1956, the Merit Awards have celebrated achievements in the building industry by singling out outstanding projects in the greater Chicago area.

The standalone terminal is situated on over 30 acres and features an expansive dock with 100 doors, administrative space, a maintenance shop, and a fueling station.
