This month's Company Update highlights the new director of internal audit, the new director of compliance and a new zone terminal manager.

Organizational Changes in Internal Audit Department

Christine Washington has been named Saia’s new director of internal audit. Mark Speck has transitioned to a new director of compliance role.

Christine will provide leadership and manage our internal audit department team processes and procedures while working collaboratively with the organization to focus on operational improvements. Wendy Phillips and Brandon Best will report to Christine. Mark will focus on compliance programs across all areas of the company.  

Christine most recently served as the director of internal audit for EasyCare (APCO), a leading marketer and administrator of automotive aftermarket products sold throughout the United States. Christine is a certified public accountant and has held a variety of positions over the years with companies including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Kaiser Permanente, and Crawford & Company. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from East Carolina University.

Dillman Named New Zone Terminal Manager

Jonah Dillman has been named the new terminal manager for our Denver and Colorado Springs facilities.

With 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, Jonah began his career at Saia in 2000 as a dockworker in the Phoenix terminal. He has progressively moved into higher levels of responsibility having served as a city dispatcher, supervisor and operations manager. Most recently, he was the Reno terminal manager.
