Last year, Saia’s National Day of Service was an enormous success. In fact, we had over 2,500 Saia employees and family members volunteer to lay wreaths, exceeding our 10 percent employee participation goal.

Wreaths Across America’s mission is to place wreaths on the graves of U.S. military veterans in more than 1,600 national cemeteries as a way to “Remember” the fallen, “Honor” those who serve, and “Teach” our children the value of freedom.

All employees are eligible to sign up on the Employee Information Center, or EIC, by clicking “Day of Service Signup Form.”

In addition to volunteering for the National Day of Service, Saia drivers will have a chance to participate in the process of hauling and delivering wreaths. This year, there will be two ways to be considered. Employees can nominate a coworker who exemplifies Saia’s core values, or themselves, by completing a nomination form, which was sent to every terminal manager across our network.

All nomination forms should be sent to Courtney George via email at cgeorge@saia.com, or faxed to 770-232-4053, no later than Nov. 25. All forms will be reviewed by the Selection Committee, and those chosen will be contacted by Dec. 2. All participants will be featured in Saia Directions.
