Company Update
This month, we are highlighting a new human resources business partner, the new EVA/EFF terminal manager and the new director of field sales.
Forsythe Named Human Resources Business Partner
Elliott Forsythe joined Saia earlier this month in a new role, human resources business partner (HRBP), that is designed to support members of the company leadership team. As an HRBP, he will provide human resources (HR) thought leadership, guidance, and strategic and tactical support to improve organization capability and overall business success. He will lead in areas such as turnover reduction strategies; leader development; diversity, equity and inclusion; change management; effective and efficient hiring; employee engagement improvement; and continuous improvement of the overall employee experience. In addition to his HRBP role, Elliott will lead the field HR organization, support the interim HRBPs, and will serve on the HR leadership team (HRLT).
Charles Moore has assumed the role of director, HR, east. In this role, Charles will lead the regional HR managers (RHRM) for the East Division. He will also continue to serve on the HRLT.
A director, HR, west position will be established. The successful candidate will lead the RHRMs for the West Division. Charles and the successful candidate for the director, HR, west role will report to Elliott.
Most recently, Elliott was the director, HR at Bridgestone Americas, the U.S.-based subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, a global leader in tires and rubber. There, he led HR for their technology organization. He also served in several roles of increasing responsibility in HR at Bridgestone Americas, such as development manager, division education director, talent consultant, senior manager of learning and development, and chief of staff for the chief HR officer. Prior to his HR experiences, Elliott held numerous positions in operations and sales at Bridgestone, including store manager, service manager, and customer experience manager.
Elliott began his professional career as a professor at Southern Illinois University and has held academic roles at numerous colleges. He holds a master’s degree in anthropology from Southern Illinois University and bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Northeastern Illinois University.
German Named EVA/EFF Terminal Manager
In March, Jason German has been named our Evansville, Indiana/Effingham, Illinois (EVA/EFF) terminal manager. Jason began his career at Saia in 2003 and has 20 years of experience in the transportation industry. Most recently, he had been serving as our operations manager at our Memphis, Tennessee (MPS) terminal.
Seiwell Named Director of Field Sales
As we continue to deliver enhanced customer satisfaction, both internally and externally, we are pleased to announce that Jennifer Seiwell has accepted the role of director of field sales. Jennifer, who had been serving as our director of 3PL sales, will lead our field sales efforts in our division two sales district comprised of Cincinnati, Ohio; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Springfield, Massachusetts; Toledo, Ohio; and Newark, New Jersey.
Jennifer started her career with Saia in 2017 as an account executive for the Harrisburg sales team, managing customer relationships in both Allentown and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Based on her achievements, she was promoted to national account executive. In this position, she showcased an ability to improve operating income while executing our growth strategy. Doing so earned her back-to-back President’s Club honors.
Jennifer has over 15 years of sales experience in the transportation industry. Prior to joining Saia, she worked as a strategic account executive for a regional truckload carrier in the Northeast.
