Rick Hale has been named the new zone manager for our Dayton and Sidney facilities. Rick brings 23 years of transportation experience to the job from various positions with other carriers.

Smith Named New LEX Terminal Manager

Scott Smith has been named the new terminal manager for our Lexington facility. Scott comes to Lexington from Saia’s Nashville terminal where he was an operations supervisor. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin and brings with him 18 years of transportation experience from various positions with other carriers.

3PL National Account Sales Executives Named

Recently, we announced a new direction in our 3PL strategy. As part of this plan, we are adding four 3PL national account sales executives who will help support this new vertical. Thus far, we’ve hired three individuals who have been charged with developing a network of influencers within their 3PL account base that can help Saia achieve our goals of growth and yield improvement.

Ross Akers has been named one of the new executives. Ross began his career at Saia in 2013 and most recently, had been serving as a business development executive. He was awarded “best-in-class” in both 2014 and 2015. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas.

Heidi Munson has been named a 3PL national account executive as well. She began her career at Saia in 2003 and most recently was working as a business development executive. Heidi is a five-time “best-in-class” winner and has been awarded President’s Club honors on multiple occasions. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Lakeland University in Plymouth, Wisconsin.

Lastly, LeTilia Robinson has also been named a 3PL national account executive. She joined Saia in 2014 and has been working as a senior account executive. She has 26 years of experience in the transportation industry having served in a number of roles including senior account executive and operations management at several, large national carriers.
