Saia’s 2018 scholarship program packets will be mailed shortly to all full-time employees. As in previous years, the program is open to all full-time employees and their dependents and is designed to help cover college or graduate school expenses for recipients.

Saia will award 12 college scholarships — six in the amount of $2,000 and six in the amount of $1,000 for a total of $18,000. Awards will be based on qualifications outlined in the packet. In addition to the hard copies that are being mailed, employees will be able to access the application and guidelines on Saia’s Intranet.

To be eligible for consideration, all applicants must be a full-time student and carry 12 or more hours of college or graduate student courses for each semester of the school year applied under. Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s academic achievement, their community service, and/or an innovation or accomplishment in a field of study and interest.

Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, July 13. Recipients will be selected by the first of August and letters will be sent to winning applicants. We are proud to offer this scholarship program for our employees and their dependents. As such, we invite all eligible employees to participate.
