This month's Company Update highlights the new Saia President and COO. Also featured are the new OKC Terminal Manager, the new HBG Regional Sales Manager and the new LOU Terminal Manager.
Holzgrefe Named Saia President and COO
Fritz Holzgrefe has been named Saia’s president and chief operating officer. He will also remain the chief financial officer until his successor is found. Fritz will have direct reporting responsibility for finance, operations, maintenance and properties, information technology, and pricing. He is also being named a member of the board of directors.
Fritz; Ray Ramu, executive vice president and chief customer officer; Michelle Richard, vice president of human resources; and Karla Staver, director of safety, will continue to report to Rick O’Dell, who will remain Saia’s chief executive officer. With growth, cross-selling and new product development being critical to LinkEx’s success, Vice President and General Manager David Miller will now report to Ray.
Anderson Named New OKC Terminal Manager
Jeff Anderson has been named our new OKC terminal manager. Though new to Saia, Jeff has worked in transportation for 25 years and has experience in operations and sales. He has bachelor’s degrees in journalism/advertising and animal science/business from Oklahoma State University.
Kelley Named HBG Regional Sales Manager
John Kelley has been promoted to the HBG regional sales manager position. In this role, he’ll be responsible for the management of our sales team in Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Additionally, he’ll also be responsible for Saia’s additional terminal openings in the Northeast this year. He had been serving as a North American market specialist, where he successfully worked with a number of regions as well as sales executives, district and regional sales managers, and divisional vice presidents.
John’s career in the transportation industry has spanned for more than 30 years. As such, he brings a strong knowledge of the business to his new role. He has held positions in both operations and sales and spent 16 years - eight as vice president of sales and marketing - at a large, regional carrier. He possesses a bachelor’s degree from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
Looney Named New LOU Terminal Manager
Jason Looney has been named the new terminal manager for our Louisville, Kentucky facility. Jason brings five years of transportation experience, from various positions with other carriers, to his new role and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
