Just so you know, MBL Zone Manager Gary Crawford handled a potentially disastrous situation recently with perfection. I can’t tell you how much we appreciated him reaching out when there was even the slightest chance that load might not be delivered on time.

Even though we pulled one tote, just to be on the safe side, at least we had that option. What if it hadn’t delivered this morning? I know without a shadow of a doubt other carriers wouldn’t have taken that personal step to ensure our satisfaction. Gary is my best friend now…just ask him.

Good Morning!

I was not sure exactly who to send this to, but I just wanted to give a kudos to GBY City Driver Patrick Brennan who came into our facility. He had notified us of damaged product on the dock.

It was late in the day and I told him that he could just leave the load (a total of four pallets for that shipment) and we’d have it fixed up so it could be picked up the next day. He said he had a bit of time while we loaded the rest of our product. I gathered a few people to help re-pack the six cases that had wet cartons. He even handed over the knock-down cartons to help speed it on a bit.

It is unfortunate, but you don’t see that many individuals now days who go above and beyond - true go-getters. This driver is a great asset to Saia and I wanted you to know. He was just a really nice man and just did a great job.
