For the ninth year, Saia partnered with Toys for Tots as one of the organization's national corporate sponsors. As a sponsor, Saia and its employees have donated over 25,000 toys over the years in the nearly 200 communities where we operate. This year, in addition to collecting toys at our terminals and offices, we made a $50,000 donation to the nonprofit.

We especially want to recognize all the employees who donated over 180 bicycles and helmets this year. Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations Jose Gonzalez said because of your generosity “many children will wake up on Christmas to a brand new bike” and that he is looking forward to “making this cause bigger and better next year.”

Retired Marine Col. and Toys for Tots Foundation Vice President Ted Silvester sent a congratulatory letter that conveyed his sincere appreciation and said that our donations “will be used to fulfill the Christmas dreams of many of our nation’s children-in-need” so that they “will experience the simply joy of the holiday season.”
