Earlier this month, numerous employees across our network volunteered with Wreaths Across America (WAA) to lay wreaths at veterans’ cemeteries around the country. Designated “National Wreaths Across America Day,” it’s a day that is set aside each year to honor and remember our nation’s military heroes.
In addition to employees laying wreaths, both New Orleans, Louisiana (NOL) City Driver Renee Smith and newly-retired Grand Rapids, Michigan (GRA) City Driver Scott Vaughn represented Saia during events held from Maine to Arlington as they transported a load of wreaths destined to be laid at the national cemetery. Saia and LinkEx also donated transportation services elsewhere, picking up and delivering wreaths being placed during other ceremonies.
Saia has proudly partnered with WAA for six years, supporting their mission to remember and honor our nation’s veterans every December.
