Company Update

This month's Company Update highlights the new Director of Corporate Processes and the SCR Terminal Manager.

Hebert Named Director of Corporate Processes

Ed Hebert has been named Saia’s director of corporate processes, which is a new role at the company. In this position, Ed will provide strategic direction and leadership for corporate process improvement and for planning and leading new process implementation. He will work collaboratively with various groups across the company including Finance, IT, Operations and more.

Ed joined Saia in 1998 as an intern in Finance and most recently had been serving as the manager of the Accounts Payable Department. During his tenure, he has been a key contributor through multiple acquisitions, system implementations and integrations, as well as process development. He holds a bachelor's degree in business from Nicholls State University.

As part of Ed’s transition into his new role, personnel in the Accounts Payable Department will now report to Bradley Green, who currently serves as an accounting manager. Ashlee Campbell was recently promoted to accounts payable supervisor.

Plappert Serving as SCR Terminal Manager

Jack Plappert was named the new manager for our Scranton, Pennsylvania terminal back in April. He has 30 years of LTL experience. He joined Saia in 2015 and had previously been serving as the NWB regional safety manager. During this time, Jack was instrumental in the Northeast expansion, opening 19 terminals in seven states.
