Let’s talk about wellness!

Saia’s wellness program is designed to help employees stay on top of their health.

In prior years, employees and spouses enrolled in the company’s medical plan had to submit a physician results form by Sept. 30. This year, there is a new wellness vendor, a new deadline, and an added health screening requirement.

To participate, employees and spouses must complete the wellness requirements by July 31 to avoid a wellness premium in 2025, which will cost $162 per month. If you are a new hire or newly eligible for benefits in 2024, you must complete the wellness requirements within 90 days of becoming benefits eligible to avoid the wellness premium in 2024 and 2025.

The cornerstone of our wellness program is the annual wellness exam. This exam is an opportunity to assess your health with your trusted healthcare provider.

To fulfill this requirement, schedule a visit and make sure your provider fills out the physician results form, which can be downloaded from the “Benefits” page located on SaiaCONNECT. Once the form is complete, it must be uploaded to the Asset Health website, which can be accessed via clicking the provided link or the QR code below.

In addition, you must complete one preventive exam and upload evidence of the exam to the Asset Health website. This exam could include a vision exam, a dental check-up, a colonoscopy, and more. Review the wellness program PDF located on SaiaCONNECT for a full list of exam options.

If your spouse is also enrolled in our medical plan, they too can benefit from our wellness program and are required to complete the annual wellness exam and one preventive exam to avoid the wellness premium.

Wellness isn't just about feeling good; it's about making proactive choices that contribute to a healthier life. By completing both your annual wellness and preventive exams, and encouraging your spouse to do the same, you're investing in your health and saving on healthcare costs.

It’s important to act now, so we encourage you to schedule your exams. If you have any questions, email us at AskHR@saia.com.
